I am a digital hoarder. I keep all of the footage that I shoot. I tell myself that it will come in useful someday and that I will be able to look back and enjoy the memories. But the truth is I put so much of myself into my work that I can’t bear to get rid of anything I’ve created.
One of my favorite web series is “Every frame a painting” on YouTube. It explores great cinema by showing the artistry that exists in every frame of truly great movies. That’s what I strive for in my work. Every time I pull out my camera I’m trying to capture the beauty I see around me.
In digging through all of my footage I realized just how many great projects that I've worked on over the past couple of years. All of the scenes in this reel were shot and/or directed by myself. I also setup all of the lighting for the scenes that were artificially lit. Let me know what you think, I always appreciate the feedback!
