Award winning AVA web series now released!

AVA, the web series that I edited early in 2018 has now been released on Amazon and YouTube! It has won several awards at film festivals in LA including one for editing which I’m extremely proud of. Check out the first three episodes of AVA and make sure you like and subscribe to the channel, (FYI: some NSFW language). More episodes are soon to come!

Building for Eternity

This spring, I was asked by Amazing Facts to help them promote their new building project. The following promo is what we cooked up. It's a very good example of corporate style production.

Octopus by Joy

I love working on a project that is really creative but also has very interesting content. Earlier this year I helped Lumixar with a kickstarter & indiegogo video for a new company called Joy. They have a unique product that they are bringing to market called the Octopus. It's an icon-based smartwatch for children and special needs individuals to help them learn to stay on a schedule. The campaign was a big success, and raised almost $2,000,000 to get the product off of the ground! Enjoy the video!

Wavelet Visuals Cinematography Reel

I am a digital hoarder. I keep all of the footage that I shoot. I tell myself that it will come in useful someday and that I will be able to look back and enjoy the memories. But the truth is I put so much of myself into my work that I can’t bear to get rid of anything I’ve created. 

One of my favorite web series is “Every frame a painting” on YouTube. It explores great cinema by showing the artistry that exists in every frame of truly great movies. That’s what I strive for in my work. Every time I pull out my camera I’m trying to capture the beauty I see around me. 

In digging through all of my footage I realized just how many great projects that I've worked on over the past couple of years. All of the scenes in this reel were shot and/or directed by myself. I also setup all of the lighting for the scenes that were artificially lit. Let me know what you think, I always appreciate the feedback! Grocery Outlet Recruitment Video

Early this year I was able to work on a pretty cool video for Grocery Outlet. I was responsible for lighting and camera and even got to act in a couple of scenes! I also did all the editing and graphics work. This was one of the first big projects that I took on after starting Wavelet Visuals and a lot of my friends offered to help. Revelation: Behind the Scenes - UPDATE: TELLY AWARD WINNING!

Here is the four part behind the scenes video for Revelation: The Bride, the Beast, & Babylon. I was able to be heavily involved in this project from beginning to end, and these videos give a good picture of what a huge undertaking it was. I always enjoy seeing behind the scenes features and it's pretty cool to see everyone doing their thing... Plus, I get some rare time in front of the camera! UPDATE: Revelation behind the scenes won a telly award!

Trailer for Revelation: Prophecy's Hidden History

After more than eight months of production, I can finally show off the documentary project that Amazing Facts is releasing at the end of the year. A lot of hours have gone into this, and there is still a long way to go, but everyone involved is committed to making the project as good as it can be. Big thanks to everyone who helped!

After May 21 Wins a Telly!

I helped with some of the editing and color grading on this short promo video for the supposed end of the world last year on May 21, 2011. It was submitted to the Telly awards and it won a bronze in it's category! It's really rewarding to see the video resonated with people that much. I'm really glad to have been even a small part of it.

World Relief Sacramento Promo

This video is a web promo for the Sacramento office of World Relief. They help refugees in many overseas countries with aid and they also help some of them relocate to the U.S. Their local office in Sacramento asked me to help them make a video that they can show to local churches and other groups who would like to help. They wanted to keep it simple so I shot some interviews and b-roll with their employees and volunteers and added some graphics to fill in the rest of it. It's all shot on the Canon 5D.

Reclaim Your Faith Testimonies

The following videos were produced for the evangelistic series Reclaim Your Faith. They were used as promotional material on the website prior to the event, and a subset were played during the live show as lead-in's to the sermons. The ones played during the live show were a big hit with the in-studio audience, some of whom were even moved to tears.

I enjoyed making these a lot. Personal testimonies have always appealed to me, and the emotion that some of the interviewees brought was really powerful. I tried to focus on that to give it the biggest impact I could. These were all shot up at Weimar, and they were all AFCOE students except Buddy. The videos were shot with the Panasonic VariCam and two Canon 5Ds. A big thanks to everyone who shared their testimony and everyone who helped me film. Enjoy!
